[ Lina's been hunting about in search of any decent food, despite the fact that she's got no credits to her name. She figures maybe she can convince somebody here to accept some gold, or maybe use her totally adorable charms to convince someone to give her food for free!! Yeah, like that'll work. Still, she finds herself standing not too far from Herb, looking at the questionable food with an equally skeptical look. ]

Good question. Everything here looks so...unappetizing. Jeez, doesn't anybody in this world appreciate decent food?

[it's good to know there are others out there who are just as thrown off by the food offered here. of course, the woman next to him is wearing some very... interesting clothing but considering they're on omega, maybe it's just some weird fashion trend he missed.

being in the military doesn't keep you up on things like that] Doesn't look like it. I think they've decided that 'burn all the flavor out of it' is the new definition of cooking. I didn't expect three star quality food, but this is a little ridiculous.

[ Lina makes a disgusted face, scrunching her nose up, and shakes her head. Her stomach growls loudly, but she ignores it. Well, at least this guy gets it. This place is kind of a garbage dump, honestly. ]

I'm...not even sure what that is. Seriously, how is it so hard to get a decent steak around here? Or a stew? Any idiot can make a stew! [ She rolls her eyes. ] But I guess that's what you get when you leave it up to beastmen to cook.

[that. was quite a growl. herb is raising an eyebrow at the noise but doesn't comment on it, because that has to be rude he imagines, and herb generally tries to be polite. still. this woman looks like she's more distressed than he is about the state of the food around here.]

Good luck. I don't want to think about the potential for pyjack stew around here... [he blinks at the word used, though, and has to ask about that at least.] Beastmen, though?

Pyjak? Ugh, it even sounds disgusting.

[ She blinks in response to his question, looking around them to glance at the aliens milling through the area again. ]

Isn't that what they are? I mean, there's way too many of them to just be chimeras.

They're not either. They're aliens. Asari, salarians, batarians?
