[ All things considered, he could have ended up worse places. If anything, it's having so many people around that's getting to him the most. Sacrosanct had been devoid of life, attended only by faceless drones, but Omega is full of life-- so much that it's bursting at the seams with it.

Some of the aliens are familiar -- species he'd seen in his time on Sacrosanct, though he hadn't spoken to them too often. He can't say he expected to end up in Shepard's universe, but so far, it doesn't seem too bad.

...Well, aside from the four-eyed guy staring at him. That's starting to get a little unnerving.

For now, though, he's winding his way through the markets, helmet tucked under his arm. He's got his rifle on his back, but for now he's keeping the wariness at bay, more interested in recon than getting himself in trouble. ]

['Stares' is a bit of an understatement for what the Chief is getting. Humans, even human military isn't particularly out of the ordinary on Omega. Humans standing over 7 feet tall that are built like krogans? That's a bit stranger. For the record, he's not letting it bother him - they can stare all they want, for all he cares. He's used to aliens trying to kill him as soon as they see him. This is actually a step up.

He turns a corner just in time to almost walk into a guy. He stops and takes a step back - then Wash's helmet and rifle catch his glance too. Then, he takes a good look at Wash himself. He doesn't recognize the armor permutation or the guy in it, but he certainly recognizes the gear.]

[ Wash looks up, and-- well, keeps looking up. He doesn't recognize the armor on first glance, but he'd seen enough Spartans on Sacrosanct to know what he's looking at.

Wash takes a step back, not wanting to get in the guy's space, and stands up a measure straighter, keeping his expression as calm as he can. ]
