Welcome to the outsiders test drive meme! You can use this post to tag with characters you're interested in bringing to the game or who you'd like to try out in the setting.


Please set all threads in one of three areas: the landing zone, where your character get off the shuttle upon arrival; the markets, where your character might run into any of the station's alien population; or in the residential district they'll be staying in.

[seeing if she smells bad! but she doesn't smell like Chouji when they had been sparring for hours and he's covered in sweat and she wants to be miles away. but she doesn't smell like her usual either -- flowers and her shampoo.

now there's sweat and dirt and grime and grief and anger...]

You'd be surprised.[there isn't much that suprises her now, even things that appear out of nowhere. but that would be too convenient and things were never convenient]

Eh? What do you mean the planet?

Or world. They're kind of the same thing, right?

[At least, in his view. He assumed that where ever he ended up, it had to be another world. And this one didn't feel like a spacestation. There were too many people for that.]

Oh, uh, yeah.

[it's the same thing, she supposed. she heard enough about other worlds/planets and origins her friends had been from but she didn't think she was stuck on one right now.

the thor just visited them for a bit and then left. and they were all horrible places usually too. she doesn't want to be stuck on a planet!]

Hopefully it's nothing like the planets I know... but I thought this was another space station that saved people.

Space stations are usually cleaner. And smell better.

At least, the one I was on did.

[Until they'd shut down the AI. Then things had gotten rough.]

[the one he was on? suddenly a bit excited!] You wouldn't happen to know about the SS Thor then, would you?

[Well that was unexpected. Were other people being picked up and thrown on random space stations.]

No? The one I was on was called Sacrosanct.

[cosmosic]

[yep! only this one was looking for a special planet that rebuilds your destroyed world

Ino's excited face effectively drops then she sighs]

I guess it would be too good to be true if you were.

What was it like on Sacrosanct?

Is that where you were before?

[He pauses]

It was, okay. Weird. The AI in charge was crazy and usually trying to kill us, so we shut her down.

Some of the people were nice.

[cosmosic]

[she nods at his first question

and then looks a bit worried at an AI trying to keep people. freaky...]

That's how it is most of the time, right? Some people are nice and some people are rude.

Like being here, for example. That guy that ran off was completely rude, but you're nice, Roxas!

[Roxas kind of looks sheepish at that.]

I guess, yeah. Was it like that on your ship?

[cosmosic]

[Aw. Ino smiles at him. It's true. After roaming the area for a bit, everyone giving her glares for being too close (as if she was going to steal something) and Roxas is the nicest person.

But he causes her to go a bit thoughtful. Of course Thor was/is like that too but it was more than just bad and good. She saw characters that just didn't care too. The ones that come to mind -Rose, Ace, Shinpachi, Sanji, RJ- they were all nice. But then there were the Purists, the reason there was trouble in the first place.

If the AI was Roxas' version of an antagonist, then the Purists were definitely Ino's.]

Yeah, something like that. I think there were people that just didn't care though, too. It was a lot like this place, anyway. A lot of aliens and not enough normal people.

And no real way to tell who's friendly and who's not?

[That was how it had been on Sacrosanct, at least until he'd started talking to people.]

[cosmosic]

[Ino is a decent sensory ninja, but when it comes to who's nice and who's not and the types in between...there weren't many people with that ability.]

Not really because you can never judge a book by its cover!

I guess not. Although, I feel like we should in this case.

[She looks around, noticing a few people giving them mean looks and wincing a bit because of it. What was their PROBLEM?]

The people that are glaring when we haven't even done anything, at least.

[Because now she's frowning right back and has a really big urge to stick her tongue out at them or something.]

[seasaltkeys]

Yeah.

[He's been noticing that to, and while he can fight, he gets the idea that that's probably not the best idea. He doesn't even know if he can summon his keyblade or use magic yet, and the middle of a fight would be a bad time to learn that he can't. He's learned that before.]

We should keep moving.

[cosmosic]

[If Roxas did fight, for whatever reason, he would at least have Ino backing him up. It was that feeling from before, the one that made her believe they had to stick together.]

Right! [nods!] The sooner we get out of here the better. Come on.

[She finds an opening in the crowd, reaches behind her for Roxas' wrist, and leads them into a dark and dank hallway. Pipes drip with some unknown liquid and Ino eyes it warily, plugging her nose and releasing Roxas.

Nasally;]

Ugh, it smells even worse over here.

[Roxas had his sleeve up to his nose, glad that he was still wearing his cloak.]

Did we find a sewer or something? Gross.

[cosmosic]

This whole place reminds me of a sewer, if you ask me.

[But it does smell especially stinky over here for reasons not yet known to man. Maybe there were just hot spots...]

[seasaltkeys]

I don't think we want to go down there. That's probably the worst bit.

[cosmosic]

[She's starting to lose her cool.]

Ugh! I just want to find a map of this place!

[seasaltkeys]

I thought I saw a marketplace down one of the streets. We could try there, Ino?

[cosmosic]

Why didn't you say so!

[Markets were bound to have SOMETHING useful. And be less stinky, this is important and cheers her up a little.]

Lead the way.

[seasaltkeys]

I think it was this way!

[Roxas turns around, trying to remember where he saw the street and runs smack into an alien. Who doesn't look too pleased.]

[cosmosic]

[It all happens in slow motion for Ino. She spots Roxas stumble back from running into the krogan. A large brickhouse of a lizard with a horrible temper. Not that Ino knew this, but she does hear the growl and see the alien round on him. Before he can do anything, she quickly slides between them and scowls up at the alien, hand poised over her kunai pouch subtly.]

Ahhh! So sorry~! It was an accident. He didn't meant to run into you, sir! Please excuse us! Ahahah~

[The krogan rumbles some curse before spitting and stalking away, growling about stupid kids. Before Ino knows it, she releases a sigh and throws a smile over her shoulder at Roxas.]
