Welcome to the outsiders test drive meme! You can use this post to tag with characters you're interested in bringing to the game or who you'd like to try out in the setting.

"Blood Gulch," Grif replied. "It was actually really stupid, but then again I've figured out that basically everything the army does is really stupid and I should stop being surprised."

He would conveniently forget the fact that plenty of the stupid-army-things that were so vivid in his memory were also partially his fault.

"It's like... okay war is hell and all, but I don't know if this was hell so much as being slowly annoyed-slash-bored to death? There wasn't nearly enough fire."

It doesn't matter that she doesn't recognize the place, or his armor- It's too insulting to not put her drink down and walk over, placing herself squarely in his space.

"Haven't you been watching the vids? 'Hell' is an understatement. The whole galaxy's fighting to survive and you're just going to sit here, moaning about how you're bored?"

She purposely gives him a slow once-over.

"When did you enlist? A month ago? Less? You haven't seen a Reaper up close, have you? You wouldn't be saying any of this otherwise."

Grif moves back a little out of reflex, but not so far he's falling off the stool. He's surprised more than anything.

"I just got here, okay? I've been stuck in a box canyon in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of assholes for three years. What the hell is a Reaper?"
