Thanks. I'm not really used to being given the skeptical eye, much less being a receiver of handouts. This just...isn't familiar to me.

You're welcome. [Shepard's smile only grows, but she still seems watchful.]

[she turns around, so she's leaning back on the railing on her elbows] Tips, huh. For one, coins aren't going to get you very far. Where do you come from that they still use analog currency?

[Oh, well, there go a third of her persuasion tactics. Gold usually gets people talking.] Now you tell me.

Thedas. Kirkwall, more specifically. Please tell me you've heard of it.

[Shepard's shaking her head but looking sympathetic]

Pretty sure I've never heard of a colony called "Thedas". [she shrugs, trying to grin encouragingly] To be fair, it's a big galaxy, and I don't get a whole lot of shore leave.

...Shore leave?

[Not like Isabela, she can already tell. But that makes her sound an awful lot like...]

Are you a soldier? Or a Warden?

Soldier. Commander Shepard, Alliance Navy. [offering a hand]

Are 'Wardens' a new merc group?

Hawke. Not a soldier. [And not willing enough to admit that magic is part of her game. She shakes her hand.]

No, not really. They're a rather mysterious bunch from my home. More like protectors.
