Welcome to the outsiders test drive meme! You can use this post to tag with characters you're interested in bringing to the game or who you'd like to try out in the setting.

[Which seems highly unlikely unless she can manage some tricky fingers out in the main market. Hawke's not so confident that she can do it until she knows the layout better and where to run and hide when they start to be chased down.

She's also not very keen on breaking out magic in the middle of so many people.]

Keep hearing of these credits, yet I still don't a lick about them except that I don't have any and I need them if I am to get properly drunk.

Gold's always been the universal tongue of bars, don't know what's wrong with this place.

Without getting caught? I'd believe it normally, Isabela, but this place...

[It's just a little too topsy-turvy for her. She's not keen on getting a friend in trouble.]

Apparently, no one here uses gold. I tried asking about credits and someone showed me a card.

[Which she produces. She doesn't have her pirate friend's magic touch but she did work in Lowtown for a year. She's no fool.]

You make money and they put credits on this. And that's how you get things around here. It's absolutely bizarre.

[it's not like Hawke's ever had a chance to stop Isabela from getting in trouble though. it just comes to her, like a song to a bard. trouble is her middle name...if she had a middle name.

she takes a long look at the card before her dirty fingers take the credit chit from Hawke, turning it in her hand.]

Soooo...[she purses her lips] how do you know if this has any money on it?

[nevermind the fact that she's also wondering HOW THE FUCK IT WORKS she waves it playfully at Hawke]

[Hawke offers her a fairly crooked smile, struggling to keep herself from an all-out smirk.]

I don't. For all I know, the man could have been lying.

[And that, of course, gets Isabela a sidelong look as she leans her hip against the bar. She did not fall off the boat yesterday, bestie.]

[oh come on, sweetness, give her that smirk. she knows you have it in you.]

Men do love lying to a pretty face. But you associate yourself with lying scum of the earth like me and Varric. Surely you'd be able to tell.

[she continues to fiddle with the chit, not liking it one bit. nothing beat something good and solid like coin in your hand, this was too...technical for her. it didn't feel right, it didn't feel satisfying. but money is money and it's what makes men and women sing like larks.

she raises her eyebrows at Hawke, feigning innocence.]
