[Well that's hardly fair to Steve. He can't defend himself if he doesn't know why he's being wronged.

He gives Tony a flat look.]

I don't have any 'credits' to buy anything else. I also don't have anywhere to put these when I take them off. [He also feels safer in the uniform. It might not protect against some things but it's better than just the undershirt. The large majority of everyone else is also wearing armor.] Any other suggestions?

[Even though yours had been incredibly obvious and probably meant to be insulting, it is a genuine question. Neither of them are getting anywhere alone.]

You should do something about that.

[At least he's had a look around. Tinkered with some things. It won't take long for his genius to be noticed around here, or for him to get some lame tech job long enough to climb the ranks. Steve just looks like a lost puppy. A very unamused, irritated lost puppy. Tony sighs.]

Have you seen anyone else around here? Banner? Barton? I'll even take Fury.

[What exactly do you expect him to do about it? Steve only knows the bare minimum about technology in their time. He's smart but he's not going to learn this stuff overnight and he doesn't fancy beating people up for money either.

Not everyone can just be lackadaisical when it comes to showing up on an alien space station, Tony.]

No, I haven't. [He frowns.] Do you think Loki caused this?

Loki? Pff. Guy can't lift his finger without showing it off first. If this was his fault he would have shown himself by now with his hands up in the air screaming 'I did it!'

[Okay fine, you got him to start thinking about it. Not that he hasn't been, but you know. Two minds are greater than one or something.]

I don't think any of these newcomers know what's going on - I mean I haven't been here long, but did you notice some of these freaks look like they just live here, and some show up and look scared out of their minds?

He's a diva. [Steve mutters, remembering Tony's little speech.] You're right. He wants an audience. I don't think he'd wait this long to show himself to a willing one.

[He frowns as he glances around the markets and then he shoots Tony a look. The scathing Captain America thinks you should shut up now look.]

I noticed. You think there's something to it? [He also sighs and shakes his head.] And you shouldn't refer to them that way. They're people too, Tony. We're just as strange to them.

[Tony doesn't remember that speech, but he rolls with it anyway. Unfortunately, the whole reason for their serious conversation is flying right out the window thanks to Tony. Surprise.]

Apparently not, considering that chick over there practically has her tongue down that bird's throat. [Because in Omega there is no shortage of couples over in far corners or holding hands or... other... nondescript things.] That is a bird, right? They look like birds to me, only with razor sharp daggers for teeth and tattoos all over. That's weird, you have to give me that one.

[Of course Tony is a master subject changer and Steve knows that's what he's doing but he's not going to argue about it right now.]

I don't think they can fly. They don't have wings. [It sounds logical to him. Shrug.] Someone called it a terrain? Turan? I didn't really catch it. The uh, women are asari.

[They also apparently like Steve because he's been hit on at least three times since he started standing here. He shakes his head stubbornly.]

They're different. It's going to be strange for us.
