[No actually, antagonizing most of the guards of the station sounds like a perfectly good idea. Most people, however, would likely admit that Iskierka's ideas are not usually the sort of thing that are any sort of helpful.

Unfortunately, none of the people who usually insist that she not act on her first impulses are present, and she's just decided that she rather likes this strange person.]

They are being ever so rude, aren't they?

[One hand leaves the bag to wave his hand in dismissal as he shakes his head too]

No you just look really familiar.

[And because he's got pretty stellar luck, as in not so much, he's suddenly placing two and two together and remembering some Money Magazine on the coffee table at home with your face on it]

Oh, oh! You're Tony Stark.

[calibrating]

[Now that piques his interest]

[Immediately, he looks her up and down, trying to see if there's any quick, telltale signs of drugging. She doesn't seem disoriented outside of not knowing the area, and she's not under any obvious distress]

[Definitely curious at the very least]

Humor me for a second-- What's the last thing you remember?

[fifty]

[America's confused expression is replaced with a grin--at meeting someone new, at meeting someone who's also a dragon, and at the idea of later being able to tell England that dragons were aliens and not weird magical invisible things he made up.]

You can call me America, then. Hey, d'you live around here?

[neverknocks]

[ His level of curiosity is surprising, and it shows on York's face for a moment, in the way she raises her eyebrows. But then her expression melts into a sort of sheepish grin, and she shrugs. There's really no way to answer it without either lying or filling him in that she's about two universes removed from where she's supposed to be, and York's never been the best liar on the spot. ]

Walkin' into a teleporter, on the last space station I was stuck on. For about eight months.

[ York clears her throat a little. ]

I've already got a few guesses about what's going on.

[letthemburn]

Ooooo, I do not.

[A jet of steam accompanies her words, as she heads back in the general direction of "irritated". Wherever she's from - and she wouldn't be able to name it if she'd been asked - it's clearly not here and she is none to pleased about the fact.]

[Wow, aren't you a little free with your gestures. Very gestural, yes. Tony stares at him mid-bite.]

The one and only. [He offers that camera sweet smile.] Glad to see my name travels between the stars, I was starting to think I wasn't broadcasting my name enough.

[More than might, kid. Steve could hardly wrap his head around the idea the chitauri had been from space. He looks a bit surprised that a random person would know who he is but then again, he is in uniform.]

What gave it away?

[His surprise morphs into a small smile. He's trying to be relaxed but publicity and being fawned over never really suited Steve all that well. Nice and easy.

He raises his hand for a handshake.]

Captain Steve Rogers, pleasure to meet you.

[fifty]

[America watches the steam with a bit of interest.] Do you breathe fire or--Hey, does that mean you got kidnapped, too? [Temporarily caught up in the excitement of everything, America only just remembers that he's not really supposed to be here at all.]

[That use of his last name with that tone will always set him on edge. Always. So yeah, even when you're the only familiar face in a huge crowd of crazies, he's going to be defensive.]

What kind of mood are you in, exactly? Staring at strangers like they'll suddenly make sense?

[117? But that would mean he's-]

[Six eases on the formalities a little, as was commanded.]

No one. I was alone when I came to. [A pause.] No Covenant either. [At least, none she could identify.]

If you mean have they stolen me, then yes and they ought not have. I shall burn them all, once I find out who they are.

[It's... only partially an answer, but it does suggest that she might indeed be able to breathe fire, unless she has some other way of burning people. The comment about being stolen is also a little odd, but then again who knows what's normal by a dragon's perspective.]

[ Starkiller has been nosing around all the vendors for parts all afternoon, even though the way they power things is all wrong. "Mass Effect fields," whatever the hell those are. ] How can a space station this large only recognize one type of currency? [ BARBARIANS! ]

[America decides, half because of her comment on burning and half because in his mind he's already decided that dragons should be able to breathe fire, that Iskierka definitely can. Using "stolen" instead of "kidnapped" or something similar is a little odd, but then again she's a dragon, so maybe that's normal.

He can jump onto the indignation, though.]

They grabbed me somehow, too! I don't know how, though--I mean, I wasn't going into space, or anything, I was just getting in a car. But maybe they've got teleportation, so I guess we'd have to steal that to get back before we do anything to them.

[He jolts a little, usually when people get in his face it's not just to ask him a question, but he's immediately distracted by the creature in front of him. Pardon him if his hand strays a little toward the pistol at his side.]

Salarian. Amphibious species native to Sur'kesh. Highly intelligent. Responsible for most cutting edge technology in use. In some form or another at any rate.

[Now he might be surreptitiously scanning you with his omni-tool. He also goes on a small rant that you might want to interrupt when he stops to breathe.]

Cannot possibly be harvester. Found on Tuchanka. Incapable of vocalizations resembling speech. Aggressive, moderately intelligent. Known to use klixen as shock troops. Would not consider polite. Wing shape also inaccurate. [Inhale.] Genetic mutation perhaps.

I'm not sure about the stars, but I know you from New York.

[He does gesture a lot, the sleeves of his shirt a little too long and frayed a bit. Well worn clothing, but wow-]

How did we end up here?

[letthemburn]

[There's a moment of silence before she speaks again. While she understands most of the words in America's answer there are some that are very literally from after her time, and try as she might she can't puzzle any sort of meaning out of them.]

What is a car, please?

[And Peter almost forgets what a handshake is for a minute there, awkwardly he surges forward to shake the offered hand, quick and nothing special]

Peter Parker, nice to meet you.

[He replies almost automatically, just like his Aunt May taught him.]

It's this big--well, to you I guess it'd be small--metal box with wheels and an engine that you can use to get to places. It's faster than just walking.

[He outlines, roughly, the shape of a car with his hands as he speaks.]

[Xiahou Dun does not appreciate being grabbed either. So as soon as she gets ahold of him, he roughly slaps her hand away and glares.]

Hands off girl, before I chop them off. I am in no mood for silly games. I must seek an exit before the day is over and return to my lord's side. If you have nothing to offer me, then stay out of my way.

[He's never been a gentle one, and the situation just worsens his already poor mood.]

[If you wouldn't give him reason to use your name in that tone then he would stop. As it is, half the stuff that comes out of your mouth is just irritating and on purpose.]

I got enough on my plate without putting up with insults from you. [He doesn't have to explain himself to you but he will anyway.] Every good strategy starts with knowing the environment you're in. These are people we might have to deal with, in one way or another. We should be ready for anything.

[It's one thing when you're just dealing with humans. It's another thing entirely to deal with multiple species. These aren't just small variations in races. They're completely different with cultures and planets and temperaments that are unfamiliar to them.]

[Sadly, most of the explanation goes entirely over Iskierka's head. Though she's undeniably smart, most of it isn't really book smarts - she can't even read, though she certainly won't mention it. Still, she understands the offering of a category at the very least, for all she's not able to say what "amphibious" means. She'll have to ask her captain when he shows up, she supposes

(That he will do so is not in question.)

The scan, in the meantime, turns up that she bares little resemblance to any of the (known) species, regardless of system. In fact, she seems to have the most resemblance to the dinosaurs of Earth, but even that isn't all of the picture - the wings are enough to speak to that. Fortunately, if there's one thing Iskierka's willing to talk about, it's herself.]

Oh, I am a dragon, if you please.

[His own handshake is firm and tight. He's a soldier and he has a presence; he can't help it. He's not trying to be intimidating.]

So Peter, you new to all of this too?

[He makes a vague gesture at the space station around him. Please say yes. He doesn't even want to know how someone from here knows about Captain America.]

[She peers at the shape, though it doesn't mean a whole lot to her. If she had an actual picture it might, but either way, she can't really see the point of it.]

I suppose it might be a fine thing, if one couldn't fly.

People don't have wings or anything, so if we want to fly we need planes. They're sort of like cars but they fly!

[He outlines a plane with his hands, too, though it's probably not any more help than the car outline.]
